6 Steps To Take When Going Through Hard Times: Step 6

6.Once Again, Have Faith
In Conclusion I would like to turn to Matthew 8:23 - 26
24 And, behold there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.
25 And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish
26 And he saith unto them Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.
- notice in verse 24 Jesus was sleep in the midst of the storm. While the waves were crashing and pressing up against the ship Jesus had peace. Peace knowing that the Father was with Him.
- verse 25 describes how we are, in the storm we come running to Jesus saying that it's too hard, that it's going to kill us. Giving the storm more power then it actually has.- verse 26 Jesus asks why are you fearful?
- Why are you afraid, don't you know that I'm in this ship with you and my Father with me. Where is your faith in a time like this? How did you let the storm cause you to fear?
- then Jesus rebuked the wind and the sea.- Jesus said O yea of little faith because he knew that the disciples could have rebuked the wind if they believed. He knew the power that they had inside of them.
- the Bible says (talking about Jesus works)these works and greater shall you do. We have the power to rebuke the storms as they arise in our life. we have so much power that's locked inside of us. We must speak with authority and with power that God gave to us. Satan the Lord rebukes thee!!!Stay encouraged and know that Satan meant it for bad, but I'm so glad God meant it for OUR GOOD!!! Amen, Hallelujah, Good Night!

6 Steps To Take When Going Through Hard Times: Step 5

5.Rejoice
Jesus said You are the light of the world
- You must keep joy in your circumstance. People are watching you.
- One little bit of light destroys a room of darkness. Have faith of a mustard seed and you can move mountains!!!(Matthew 13:31)
- Satan knows that if you praise God, then God will dwell in the midst of you. God lives in our praise. Satan knows that there is breakthrough in your praise, victory in your praise, protection in your praise, life in your praise! So Satan tries to SupPRESS, dePRESS, and opPRESS your praise.
- You must PRESS back and praise God even when you don't understand. Like laying on the bench press bench. The weight may seen heavy and the pain unbearable, but God is your spotter. A spotter is there to help you when the weight become too much. They help lift the pressure off of you. But in the midst of the pain, know that just like with the pains of weight lifting, the pain means that those muscles are becoming stronger. You are gaining strength through this! Glory be to God!

6 Steps To Take When Going Through Hard Times: Step 4

4.Stay Encouraged
- The story of Job shows that God allows Satan to persecute. You should find comfort in knowing that it's allowed. God allows it because what Satan is using to destroy you, God is using to build you!!!

1 Cor 2:8-Which none of the princes of this world knew:
For had they known it, they would have not crucified the Lord of glory.
- If Satan knew that Jesus would redeem mankind through His death, If Satan knew that Jesus would wrestle the keys of life and death from him, If Satan knew that Jesus would rise on the third day with the victory, Satan wouldn't have had him crucified.
- Likewise, if Satan knew the power that you will have after making it through this time, if Satan knew the great works you are being prepared for, he would just have left you alone!!

See Satan doesn't know the magnitude of the work that we'll do, but he can identify the greatness. The devil tries to kill those who are threats to him. As previously stated Jesus had just assembled the disciples. They were just beginning. They were babies. Satan tries to kill at the baby stage when He knows the future greatness. Yet while he tries to kill, God is preparing in the midst of.
Two examples are Moses and Jesus.

Moses
- Moses was placed in the house of a Pharaoh's daughter.- It is there that he would learn the customs of the Egyptians and how to enter and how he could gain access to the Pharaoh.- It was there that he was raised with the person that he would later overcome for the freedom of his people.- So, while Satan was trying to kill Moses as a baby, God was putting him in a position of preparation to set the captives free.
- What captives are God preparing you to free?
Jesus
- In Matthew 2:15 and Matthew 2:23 we see that while Satan trying to kill Jesus, God was fulfilling His word concerning Jesus.
- Just know that it's working out for the manifestation of your destiny. God is preparing you!!

6 Steps To Take When Going Through Hard Times: Step 3

3.Stay DeterMined

We must be determined to not quit.I was looking at the word Determine and I saw two words
the first being Deter
- defined as to keep (a person) from doing something through fear anxiety, doubt, etc.; discourage.
The second being Mine
- defined as an explosive charge in a container, buried in the ground for destroying enemy objects.

Satan(the enemy) tries to discourage us through our circumstances, through our finances, through our emotions, through our doubt. He tries to DETER us. We must plant a MINE of praise and prayer to destroy those objects of the enemy that would otherwise deter us from the calling God hs placed on us.

That is DETER-MINED, we must make up our minds that no friends, no doubt, no circumstance, no stronghold, no burden of affliction, nor any such thing will prevent us from doing the work!!!

6 Steps To Take When Going Through Hard Times: Step 2

2.Keep the Faith

1 Corin. 2:9

-But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.-notice that the eye, the ear, and the heart are all fleshly, carnal members.

- when we go through tribulations, we can't be led by our carnal thoughts, our carnal emotions, nor our carnal senses.

- our carnal thoughts force us to doubt God and his omnipotence and omniscience.

-Omnipotence being his all powerful strength and omniscience being his all knowing wisdom.

Verse 10

-But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea the deep things of God.- However we must get on one accord with God and the Spirit of God.

- We must see with our Spiritual eye and not the carnal eye

- If you want to do the impossible you must see the invisible- We see the invisible through faith-Now faith is the evidence of things hoped for and the evidence of things not yet seen!(Hebrews 11:1)

- The carnal eye can't see the breakthrough, the strength gained, nor the works that God is preparing us for, that's why we must have faith(our spiritual eye)

6 Steps To Take When Going Through Hard Times: Step 1

Matthew 10:16,24, 31-32( I jump around a lot)
16Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
24The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord
31Fear ye not, therefore ye are of more value than many sparrows.
32Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will i confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
At this time in the scripture, we find Jesus talking to his newly appointed disciples, giving them a warning as long as instruction.
In verse 16 we see that Jesus says that He sent us forth as sheep in the midst of the wolves.

1.Remember God will protect you
-We must keep in mind that sheep are defenseless. That they must rely on a shepherd to protect them from the wolves. By applying this to our lives we can say that we are the sheep, The wolves are the hardships that we endure. The wolves are the circumstances and people that rise up against us. However, our Shepherd(God) will protect us.

As verse 24 says the disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.
- Just as Jesus had to suffer for the kingdom, so must we, yet we must also find comfort in knowing that the Lord is with us.

Verse 32 reads that whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

Through the story of Job, we know that Satan has access to heaven. It is there that he persecutes us before God.

-If we take the time to visualize our lives as being in the midst of a great court room, we will see that Satan, the persecuter of the breathern, can be identified as the prosecutor.
- However, Jesus says as long as we confess Him before men, He will confess us before God. Jesus will plead the case for us. Jesus will speak to the Father and say, "Though the evidence of sin may be able to convict, my blood makes that evidence ineffective and not permissable."Therefore where the devil can be viewed as the prosecution, Jesus can be identified as our Defense Attorney. And let me tell you "Johnny Cochran's defense of OJ aint got nothing on how Jesus defends us!!

So, yes we may have to go through hardships while we wander amongst the wolves, but we must realize that we are protected and defended by a Great Shepherd and Attorney.
We must realize that the hardships of life are made to prepare us for a task that God has set for us to accomplish.

The First Of Many

Hello there friend,

Welcome To My Blog!!!

I was encouraged to start this blog by my beautiful fiance' as an outreach tool to uplift and help others. At first I was a little nervous about the whole thing, but through a time of growth and maturity I've decided to test it out. This blog will showcase some of my sermons and words from the Lord, as well as personal circumstances and thoughts. I will try to post something at least once a week, more than likely it'll be more than that, but just stay tuned!!! I'm super excited, and I hope you are as well. :-D
