Raw Ambition!

Do you know what it's like to have dreams and aspirations? I mean RAW AMBITION. Do you know how it feels to hear the monstrous roar of your desires craving for more; starving for fulfillment as you force feed stale mediocrity? Well in case you're one of the few who have never had such an experience, let met tell you that I am one who is guilty of coldblooded murder. A serial killer of dreams, pulling the trigger everytime I drag myself out of bed to do a job out of obligation more than love. I feel like nothing more than a pet of society. I can see the endless possibilities surrounding me, yet I'm afraid of crossing that unseen barrier, afraid of trodding across that invis-a-fence. Am I the only one who feels this way? Do I stand alone in this sea of fear of risk? Am I an island of lost ambition? I think not. I think you've once felt this way. I think that once upon a time in your life you've felt the magnetism of excellence drawing you closer. No, you can't fool me, for I know that there has been times in your existence in which greatness had shown its light and captivated your curiosity like a moth dancing around the great invention of Thomas Edison. It's one of the common threads woven into the lives of so many, a common string stitched into mankind's fabric. However, tonight is the night that the fad of overpriced safety is discontinued in a buy out by that inner voice that screams, "I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST! ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH GOD! WITH GOD NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE!" In the next month I ask that you help me break free from this prison by supporting me. Within the next two weeks I will be unveiling my online Christian bookstore, Following The Vision, which will sell CDs, cook books, Bibles, Business books, clothing, and so much more! I will also be volunteering as the Director of Public Relations for a Christian Fashion Show to hit Hampton Roads in May by the same people that have posted the "No Matter What Trust God" signs in an area near you. Lastly, my church has instituted services focused to impact young people via tutoring sessions and Open Forum services. 2010 is the year I Follow The Vision. Will you join me?P.S.If you ever need someone to pray for or with you don't hesitate to call me @ 757 318 8153. Fasting

Hello My Fellow Laborers! I'm posting this because as you know I would like us all to go on a fast tomorrow, Wednesday, March 25th. I want us to fast and pray for one another and ourselves. In case you don't know that much about fasting(and even if you do) I'm posting this for you to read. It's one of the many things that God revealed to me during my 3 day fast. Hope you enjoy!

Isaiah 58: 3 - 14

3 ‘Why have we fasted,’ they say,‘and you have not seen it?Why have we humbled ourselves, and you have not noticed?’“Yet on the day of your fasting, you do as you please and exploit all your workers.
4 Your fasting ends in quarreling and strife, and in striking each other with wicked fists. You cannot fast as you do today and expect your voice to be heard on high.
5 Is this the kind of fast I have chosen, only a day for a man to humble himself? Is it only for bowing one's head like a reed and for lying on sackcloth and ashes? Is that what you call a fast,a day acceptable to the LORD?
6 “Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen:to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke,to set the oppressed free and break every yoke?
7 Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter—when you see the naked, to clothe him,and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?
8 Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear;then your righteousness will go before you,and the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard.
9 Then you will call, and the LORD will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I.“If you do away with the yoke of oppression, with the pointing finger and malicious talk,
10 and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday.
11 The LORD will guide you always;he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.
12 Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations;you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls,Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.
13 “If you keep your feet from breaking the Sabbath and from doing as you please on my holy day,if you call the Sabbath a delight and the LORD's holy day honorable, and if you honor it by not going your own way and not doing as you please or speaking idle words,
14 then you will find your joy in the LORD,and I will cause you to ride on the heights of the land and to feast on the inheritance of your father Jacob.”The mouth of the LORD has spoken.

Fasting isn't for recognition, it's not to be done with grief. It's not done to punish you, but to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and to break every yoke. It's a time to give food to the hungry, shelter to the homeless, clothes to the naked. It's a time to GIVE. When you operate in this manner a good name will go before you(verse 8) and God will protect you past, your testimony will be covered with God's goodness(verse 8). verse 3 says in the day of your fast you should find pleasure.

Reasons For Fasting

1. Periods of distress(2 Sam. 3:35; Psalm 35:13)
2. National Crisis(2 Chr. 20: 3; Ezra 8:21; Esth. 4:16)
3. Individual Needs(Matt. 17:21)
4. When Facing Spiritual Decisions(Matt. 4:2; Act 13:2)
5. Anticipation For Christ's return (Luke 5:35)

Outcomes For Fasting

1. Relief of heavy burdens (Is. 58)
2. Wisdom (Dan. 10)
3. Revival (Is. 58: 6)
4. God's Protection (1 Kings 21: 27-29)
5. Recovery of the Sick (Ps. 35:13)
6. Inauguration of a Great Ministry (Matt. 4:2)

Honor God on His day by doing His will, not yours, then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord; and I will cause you to ride in the high places of the earth, and eat with the chosen people.

PLEASE JOIN ME AND YOUR FELLOW LABORERS IN FASTING AND PRAYER!

THANK YOU, LOVE YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU!

6 Steps To Take When Going Through Hard Times: Step 6

6.Once Again, Have Faith
In Conclusion I would like to turn to Matthew 8:23 - 26
24 And, behold there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.
25 And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish
26 And he saith unto them Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.
- notice in verse 24 Jesus was sleep in the midst of the storm. While the waves were crashing and pressing up against the ship Jesus had peace. Peace knowing that the Father was with Him.
- verse 25 describes how we are, in the storm we come running to Jesus saying that it's too hard, that it's going to kill us. Giving the storm more power then it actually has.- verse 26 Jesus asks why are you fearful?
- Why are you afraid, don't you know that I'm in this ship with you and my Father with me. Where is your faith in a time like this? How did you let the storm cause you to fear?
- then Jesus rebuked the wind and the sea.- Jesus said O yea of little faith because he knew that the disciples could have rebuked the wind if they believed. He knew the power that they had inside of them.
- the Bible says (talking about Jesus works)these works and greater shall you do. We have the power to rebuke the storms as they arise in our life. we have so much power that's locked inside of us. We must speak with authority and with power that God gave to us. Satan the Lord rebukes thee!!!Stay encouraged and know that Satan meant it for bad, but I'm so glad God meant it for OUR GOOD!!! Amen, Hallelujah, Good Night!

6 Steps To Take When Going Through Hard Times: Step 5

5.Rejoice
Jesus said You are the light of the world
- You must keep joy in your circumstance. People are watching you.
- One little bit of light destroys a room of darkness. Have faith of a mustard seed and you can move mountains!!!(Matthew 13:31)
- Satan knows that if you praise God, then God will dwell in the midst of you. God lives in our praise. Satan knows that there is breakthrough in your praise, victory in your praise, protection in your praise, life in your praise! So Satan tries to SupPRESS, dePRESS, and opPRESS your praise.
- You must PRESS back and praise God even when you don't understand. Like laying on the bench press bench. The weight may seen heavy and the pain unbearable, but God is your spotter. A spotter is there to help you when the weight become too much. They help lift the pressure off of you. But in the midst of the pain, know that just like with the pains of weight lifting, the pain means that those muscles are becoming stronger. You are gaining strength through this! Glory be to God!

6 Steps To Take When Going Through Hard Times: Step 4

4.Stay Encouraged
- The story of Job shows that God allows Satan to persecute. You should find comfort in knowing that it's allowed. God allows it because what Satan is using to destroy you, God is using to build you!!!

1 Cor 2:8-Which none of the princes of this world knew:
For had they known it, they would have not crucified the Lord of glory.
- If Satan knew that Jesus would redeem mankind through His death, If Satan knew that Jesus would wrestle the keys of life and death from him, If Satan knew that Jesus would rise on the third day with the victory, Satan wouldn't have had him crucified.
- Likewise, if Satan knew the power that you will have after making it through this time, if Satan knew the great works you are being prepared for, he would just have left you alone!!

See Satan doesn't know the magnitude of the work that we'll do, but he can identify the greatness. The devil tries to kill those who are threats to him. As previously stated Jesus had just assembled the disciples. They were just beginning. They were babies. Satan tries to kill at the baby stage when He knows the future greatness. Yet while he tries to kill, God is preparing in the midst of.
Two examples are Moses and Jesus.

Moses
- Moses was placed in the house of a Pharaoh's daughter.- It is there that he would learn the customs of the Egyptians and how to enter and how he could gain access to the Pharaoh.- It was there that he was raised with the person that he would later overcome for the freedom of his people.- So, while Satan was trying to kill Moses as a baby, God was putting him in a position of preparation to set the captives free.
- What captives are God preparing you to free?
Jesus
- In Matthew 2:15 and Matthew 2:23 we see that while Satan trying to kill Jesus, God was fulfilling His word concerning Jesus.
- Just know that it's working out for the manifestation of your destiny. God is preparing you!!
